Steven Sanders has been for Amherst his entire life. He grew up here, went away to college and started his career just down the Thruway in Rochester. He soon returned to the community he loves because he knew it was the place he wanted to raise his family. Steven ran for Amherst Town Board because of his strong feelings of personal responsibility for the future of the town. The best way for a person to ensure the successful future of his community is to use his considerable skills and experience in its service.
Steven graduated from Cornell University with a Bachelor of Science in Applied Economics and Business Management in 1991. In 1993 he earned a MBA at the University of Rochester. Steven has been a Certified Public Accountant since 1995 and has operated his own practice since 2000. As a small business owner he is solely responsible for his own success or failure.
